Meet Our Trainer

My name is Angela Bentley and I've had dogs all my life but my
passion for training and dog welfare started when my husband
and I moved to Maryland 9 years ago after he was layed off
from his employment. I quit my job in manufacturing and, in
search of a new career, attended the College of Southern
Maryland's Veterinary Assistant course.

Before completion of the Veterinary Assistant Course in 2003 I
had begun volunteering with the Humane Society of Calvert
County walking dogs and fostering dogs and puppies. Later I
took over as Kennel manager and held a spot on the Board of
Directors but my main focus was always on the dogs.

I completed the Veterinary Assistant Course in 2003 and went
on to graduate from Animal Behavioral College in 2005 and
continued learning all I could about dog training and behavior
by reading books and attending seminars. After having the
opportunity to work with a Remote collar trainer I took his advice
and attended '
That's My Dog' 3 week Remote Collar Academy
in Wisconsin. There, I learned how using the Remote Ecollar
can be a positive training tool to get quick results and allow the
dogs off leash faster than any other method.

My dogs as of today: Bailey: a Great Pyrenees mix, George: a
German Shepherd mix, Blue: an American Bulldog Ridgeback
mix, and Deidre: a Boxer mix.
Our 1800 sq ft. heated training
facility located in Hillsboro MO.

We offer a variety of training
programs as well as Trick
Classes, Scent Games and more.

We offer Boarding and Daycare
by appointment and offer pick up
and delivery for a small fee.
You are welcome to make an appointment and come out and see us
or sit in on one of our Group Training Sessions or On The Go class.
I  continue working with shelter dogs and foster through C.A.R.E.,
a rescue in rural Washington county Missouri.

I always have a foster or two "in training" looking for a home. If
you are interested in aquiring a well behaved dog, please let me
know.
In 2005 Hurricane Katrina hit the New
Orleans area and displaced hundreds
of dogs and other animals.

Jackson was one of the dogs I along
with fellow rescuers returned with from
the Humane Society of Louisiana.

The dogs were in horrible condition yet
good spirits. With time all the dogs that
returned with us improved in health
and those who's owners were not
located found loving new homes.

Rest in Peace Jackson.
